Managers or Supervisors responsible for measuring performance expectations and setting standards for developing performance guidelines

Leadership Training overview:

Among the most difficult tasks for most managers is to clearly set the boundaries for performance expectations from employees. Perhaps one of the most commonly violated areas of expertise where many managers fall short because most times it comes down to inadequate training or lack of knowledge on their part. This skill of clearly defining performance expectations is pertinent for the success of a company to attain a mutual level of compatible understanding between manager expectations and employee performance.
The functions of leadership which include planning, understanding employee morale, directing, delegating tasks, developing strategies, and new ideas for vision for the future, all need to be transformed when setting the parameters for employee performance expectations. The purpose of this seminar is to equip managers and supervisors with the ability to make decisions with consistency and developing a clear understanding of how to set, measure, and encourage excelling performance from their employees.

A clearly defined performance expectation guideline helps employees understand their role in the success of the company, recognize areas of performance improvement and ask for support, and most importantly, enables them to see positive reinforcements for good ethics and behaviors.

When unclear performance expectations:
There are several reasons for poor employee performance, one of them being poorly defined performance expectations from their supervisors. The result is employees questioning their duties, having little or no track of efforts to help meet job expectations, and stress due to lack of work-related understanding. The stress causes employees to take longer breaks, disinterest in company functioning, and an overall feeling of frustration.

The design of this interactive seminar is to assess your supervisors and manager’s current performance expectations guidelines and throughout the leadership seminar, participants will be guided to define expectations based on results rather than tasks, and develop a new set of performance expectations for their employees pertaining to their job. Participants will learn proven ways of writing effective performance expectations guidelines and use the skills acquired from this seminar as an added influence to bring about positive change and boost employee morale.
Participants are held accountable for reporting on the results from this training seminar 30 days after the session and will be coached and critiqued on any added changes, should it become applicable. Methods of results vary as per your organization but will certainly be measured in terms of quality, quantity, and cost.
