The oldest form of rhetoric that has shaped human society for ages is an art form that has been broken down to science. Simply put, the skill of communicating effectively and efficiently with people is an acquired skill, for some it comes naturally, for others it can be learned just as efficiently. 4P’s: Picturize, Participate, Power up, Perform. Picturize: Acquire the dynamics of a linguistic dialogue and visualize the power principles in a conversation through this system where participants learn to “picturize” the other person’s point of view. Participate: An active communication requires active participation of both the sender and the receiver in a conversation , so through this model participants learn ways of effectively participating in a conversation to avoid failing in an important conversation circumstance. Power Up: How many times have you seen somebody fail a presentation or come off to be less than positive in a conversation because they lack people skills? Projecting your personality as well as diction, listening skills, and presence of attention are used to “power up” your communication skills. Perform: Be able to implement the acquired knowledge and skills gained through the first three models and “Perform” on a level of excellence in communications through practice and positive reinforcement. | |
